The music realty show scene is really heating up with Etisalat & Pepsi’s Idols, Glo’s X-factor and the most popular MTN Project Fame West Africa. All producing winners and grooming local talent. These shows are getting bigger and better each year with more and more money to be won.

With all of them trying to outdo each other it’s a war of talents and shows. However when the dust settles, it’s the viewers, listeners and music-lovers who decides who really wins, as they decide which of the winners eventually becomes a household name and gets the juicy money from brand ambassador endorsements, concerts and performances.

Looking at the show with most awards won by its contestants and by the local street credibility they have developed, MTN Project Fame stands out clearly, with a string of contestants winning both local and international awards. These awards include a Headies(Iyanya) a Soundcity MVA prize, a Ghana Music Award and Chidinma’s Africa KORA award among others. The show itself won four awards at the TAVA Awards in 2011.

This year MTN Project Fame is showcasing the various talents that it has helped to nurture into superstars who are household names not only in Nigeria, but who also are touring aboard, by taking the PF All STARS on a local tour incorporating Calabar on June 21st at the cultural centre, Mary Slessor Ave Calabar and Lagos on June 28th at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lekki.

It promises to be a celebration of great talent discovered and nurtured by MTN Project Fame.
Chidinma the MTN PF 2010 winner has deservedly won an International KORA award in Dec 2012 for her powerful song Kedike.

The two, explosive ALL STAR concerts will hold in, Calabar and Lagos. Where award-winning winners like Iyanya, Myke and Chidinma will be performing with newly crowned season 4 & 5 winners Monica and Ayo and several other stars from Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone to make it a MTN project Fame All Stars gathering.
