This week, the Star Music Trek Train moves to Beverly Hills Resort, Nnewi, in Anambra State for the 6th leg of the nationwide concert.
On the star
studded line up for the Saturday event are M.I, Timaya, Kcee, JMartins, Kas and
2012 Star Quest winners, Crystals.
The
upcoming music show comes on the heels of last weekend’s concert, which held at
the prestigious Recreation Club in Aba. Despite the torrential rain, fans in
Aba and environs who attended the concert have rated it the best concert of the
year with many citing Timaya’s barefoot performance as their
favourite act of the night.
Kcee
stunned
fans yet again with another riveting performance similar to what he
gave in Enugu. His monster track ‘Limpopo’ is not only dominating the
airwaves but also the dance halls and will undoubtably go down as one of
the top 10 hits of
2013.
Timaya who
performed at his first ‘Trek’ in 2013 in Aba, had earlier urged fans during a
stop over at MagicFMAba to ‘come out to the concert’ and “‘leave their troubles
behind’”. He praised fans for enduring the heavy rain to the last beat of the
night. “Aba fans rock! I was really looking forward to being here and I wasn't disappointed.
There was an amazing amount of positive energy at the concert and I’m really
happy that I was a part of it.”
Mister
Incredible, M.I, makes a reappearance on the Nnewi leg of Star Trek tour after
his last concert in Enugu. The artiste has citied an additional reason for fans to
attend this weekend’s concert: “It’s been awesome from FESTAC, Lokoja, Owerri
and Enugu and it's obvious that Nigerians love music.One thing that is becoming even more clear is
the over abundance of talent that is present in the country which needs to be
properly harnessed," he added.
“Sadly, this
will be my last Trek for 2013 so I’m
humbly asking our fans in Nnewi and even those in Enugu, Aba, Awka, Asaba, and
other surrounding cities to come out on July and share the excitement with us,
he also urged.”
FESTAC, Lokoja, Owerri, Enugu and Aba are some of the cities the
10-week music tour has visited with thousands of music fans entertained across
the country.
Star Music Trek will also visit music fans in Asaba, Abeokuta,
Agege and Surulere.
A Grand Finale of the 10-week
music tour will hold at the National Stadium, Surulere in Lagos on August 10,
2013.
